Richard (Staff's Uni) feedback

Today in lesson we had a guest speaker from Staff's Uni in Stoke. He was one of the teachers from the film course, and he was telling us about the course, and what it had in store for us. After the powerpoint, he gave us some feedback on our coursework that we have been doing. He gave us some good ideas which helped us overcome some obstacles we were facing, such as making the film glitch.

Pill bottle scene

In the next scene, we decided to get some really detailed, creepy shots of some pill bottles. We also filmed several shots of dropping the pill bottles, and pills so that we can put them in slow motion falling as we believe that this will look very good and professional if timed right, and the lighting is right.

Make up for bruises scene

For the buses scene we needed to pain on bruises on me and my fellow class mate, bruises all over the arms and one on my neck. For the bruises we used a paint pallet, and mixed different colours together. The result was good, but we decided after filming, that the bruises should be on Megan as she is the female character.

Metronome Scene

For one of the first scenes we decided to use a metronome filming it from all different angles and depths in different lighting to create a very creepy shot for the trailer. We set up a light stand, and messed around with different lighting we could get. We also used out smart phone cameras torch as it gave a less concentrated lighting which is what we wanted.

Props for the first scene

For the first scene we printed out some polaroid pictures from the internet, and printed them in black and white so that they look old. We then glued them to card and cut them out so that they had more of a typical polaroid look. Our initial plans were to drop them in once area with a green screen in the background so that we could have something creepy in the background.
